We offer 5% off all courses to our Armed Forces personnel and Emergency Service workers, please mention who you work for when booking. You will be required to bring your I.D badge with you on your first day.
All prices include test fee's, use of relevant motorcycle and any protective clothing you may need to borrow. For DAS courses you will need to provide appropriate footwear, which must cover your ankle, otherwise the DSA will not test you (e.g Walking boots or anything similar, apart from steel toe caps).
Please note that our prices may seem cheaper than a lot of our competitors, this is due to the fact that we are a family run business so do not have the big overheads that other training schools have. Which means you get all the knowledge and training expertise from our highly experienced instructors for less.
CBT
Everyone starts with a CBT so we'll start with what you can expect on your course. You will be given information on clothing and helmets to keep you safe, information on the controls of the Scooter/Moped or motorbike, some basic maintenance and how to use the stands properly, this will help to keep you and your bike in a good safe condition.
You will carry out various exercises teaching you machine control, this will include things like U turns, slow riding and if appropriate gear changing. These are done at one of our training sites away from the road. You will receive a pre-ride briefing covering situations you may experience out on the road (its a good idea to read or refresh yourself with the Highway Code). You will then finish with a minimum of Two hours out on the road with the instructor, connected by radio. The CBT is usually a day long course but you are all different so it can be tailored to your needs.
Direct Access (DAS/Full Licence), A2 and A1
For those looking to go on to pass their motorcycle test, whether its Category A, A2 or A1 you will first need to pass the motorcycle theory test. Once your tailored course starts you will take two tests, Module 1 is carried out at a DVSA test centre (we use Wolverhampton and Garrets Green), this is similar to the off road training received on your CBT.
Once you have passed this you can then take Module 2 which is the on road element where the examiner will follow you for about 35 minutes, looking at your riding in a variety of road situations, you will also be asked questions called show me/tell me which are maintenance based and then about carrying a pillion (these tests can be done at either Wolverhampton, Garrets green, Redditch or Worcester, this is subject to availability.

After 25yrs of not riding any form of motorbike, i opted to get back onto 2 wheels and had Apexmct details referred on to me.
The day was very relaxed, informative and fun and everything was explained in full prior to conducting any manoeuvres or riding out on the roads. It was a great overal experience to get back in to the swing of things.
All the equipment was supplied and the cost is certainly competitive against other providers.
I left the day feeling a lot more confident about being back on 2 wheels and would highly recommmend Apexmct to anyone looking for CBT training or taking their tests.

I have had an enjoyable 6 weeks with Trish and Dave who have taken me through my CBT and on to a 3 day DAS course so i could get my full A class licence. Both of thier professionalism and humor made the whole process go very smoothly . I like to thank Dave for the advice and the banter we had over the period, which made it very relaxing.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when calling around to find out about refresher courses. Spoke to a few bike schools with no joy until I come across ApexMCT. They listened to what I was after (albeit I wasn’t sure what to expect from a refresher). Wanted a weekend 1 to 1 lesson which other schools weren’t willing to cater for on a weekend. Whilst speaking to ApexMCT i knew that they understood what I was looking for and they filled me with confidence compared to the other schools I called and therefore booked my course.
On the day, the team at ApexMCT were spot on. Friendly, knowledgable and fun . They tailored the refresher to my needs with a continuous review throughout the day. Enjoyed my first ride after 4-5 years and learned a lot more than I was expecting to which I am grateful for.
I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn to ride or even a refresher to give ApexMCT a call. They competitively priced (won’t b beaten), and being a family run business, you can see the passion and drive to deliver.

Today I did my CBT and I loved it to pieces. The day was incredibly relaxed and informative, making you feel completely comfortable with getting on a bike regardless of experience.
There was a slight issue with me being too small to do the CBT on the geared bike (so if you're under 5ft2 bring your own bike �) however they have offered for me to come back and do some gears training when I do get my own.
A fantastically informative day, that has left me with a new confidence on two wheels. Do it.

Great company, Friendly and helpful. Did my CBT There and had no worries the bikes rode great and the instructor was helpful to the other person i was doing it with. Reason he didn't give me much attention was because he could see i was confident and knew i was there for a renewal. Road ride was great and the instructor is a right laugh. Did my original CBT at another company and don't think i'd ever choose anywhere else but Apex. Great Prices and a great service!
